The WHA will also educate and empower residents to improve their quality of life through assistance by providing safe and decent housing opportunities with upgrades and rehabilitation of their units.
The Mission Statement of the WHA is to become a leader in providing low-income, affordable, safe, and decent housing to the Southwestern, North Carolina region and provide the residents with respect and empower their ability to lift themselves out of poverty.
WHA offices are located in the Waynesville Tower at 48 Chestnut Park Drive. The Tower has restricted entry so please use the call box at the entrance during office hours. Please observe social distancing and wear a mask at all times.
TENANTS: If you have business at the office, please call to make an appointment. If you get voicemail, please leave a message. If you have a maintenance emergency, call (828) 734-2783 and leave a message.
APPLICANTS: Incomplete applications without requested documentation will NOT be accepted.
Also, we do not provide information about the waiting lists or an applicant’s position on the list. Applicants will be notified in advance of a potential vacancy if they are next on the waiting list.
